Mokum’s Tulip® represents a particularly successful combination of two highly regarded American-influenced genetics: Gelato and Sherbet. Dutch Passion selected a special Gelato phenotype with an exceptionally sweet aroma, attractive colouring and hard, resin-rich flowers, then crossed it with a vigorous Sherbet selection known for its terpene richness, yield potential and strong effects.
One of the variety’s defining characteristics is its exceptionally expressive aroma and flavour profile. The fragrance is dominated by sweet, creamy and fruity tones, while the flavour can evoke forest-fruit ice cream, grapefruit or orange cream, candy and sorbet. The terpene profile is particularly distinctive because the flavour closely mirrors the aroma, creating an intense dessert-like sensory experience.
Visually, Mokum’s Tulip® produces compact, hard and exceptionally resinous flowers. The plants generally develop a sturdy structure with thick branches and relatively short-to-medium internodal spacing. Certain phenotypes can develop attractive blue or purple hues, adding to the variety’s already striking appearance.
Its cannabinoid profile is another major attraction. Dutch Passion describes Mokum’s Tulip® as a very high-THC variety, with independent analytical results reporting THC levels above 25% in some samples. This places it firmly in the high-potency category and makes it particularly interesting for consumers looking for strongly pronounced effects.
The overall effect is described as powerful, relaxing and long-lasting, combining a pronounced physical relaxation with a euphoric and uplifting mental sensation. This characteristic hybrid balance is one of the reasons the variety has developed a strong reputation among connoisseurs.
